ABOUT US​​

CRAFTY SWINE CHARCUTERIE is a Scottish artisan producer of dry cured meats using only ethically sourced, free range animals. Originally enjoying charcuterie as a hobby we have spent three years converting the steading at our home in Aberdeenshire into a custom built facility to grow Crafty Swine into a family business and share the products we are so passionate about. 

We concentrate on quality through the whole lifespan of our products from farm to fork. We only take outdoor reared pigs and we  work with our farmers to make sure our high welfare, free range pigs live longer, fuller and happier. We hold the utmost respect for our products and we use as much of the pig as we can, anything we cant use goes to a local company to be composted.  

We are inspired by traditional European techniques but we produce a unique product packed with a distinctly Scottish flavour. Everything we make is hand produced, steeped in pride, passion…and usually whisky! In return we are gifted with a far more flavoursome meat, a rich delight for the pallette.

Matt is Crafty Swine. He found his love of charcuterie from his trips to Italy and what started as a hobby has grown to an all consuming passion. He puts heart & soul into every product crafting each by hand.

THE SLEEP THIEF
Completing our family when she arrived in 2016 Emmie is the driving force behind every single thing we do in life.  Her little face makes your day & gives you the energy to keep going (even when you are knackered from her all night parties). 
THE CLEAN UP CREW
Toddler food, bones, kitchen scraps, the occasional stick, freshly baked bread left on the worktop to cool, these three will lend their paws to any task set in front of them.
